An erect to sprawling shrub that forms impenetrable thickets. The flowers are white with pinkish tinges in large clusters with many stamens. Leaves are evergreen, although some are deciduous. Leaflets are toothed. It grows in disturbed sites and stream sides and along railway tracks at low elevations.
