This erect, sometimes trailing back to the ground shrub, is armed with flat prickles. Flowers are small and whitish to pinkish and in clusters in leaf axle or terminal. The leaves are alternate and also deciduous with 3 egg shaped toothed leaflets. Another shrub that enjoys clear-cut areas, burned sites and disturbed places.
