A shrub to small tree size. Flowers are white, large 1-2.5cm across, 5 petals and 15-20 stamens very showy. They grow in short leafy clusters. Their habitat includes the low to middle elevations in open forests and bluffs. Leaves are alternate and deciduous, they are round to oval and regularly toothed, mostly on top half.
